Robert Chase, 61, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018, in Fort Smith. He was born October 20, 1956 in Lynwood, California to the late Juanita (Cordell) Chase and Robert Chase, Sr. He was preceded her in death by two daughters, Sandra Chase and Juanita Chase; mother, Colleen Chase; and a sister, Roxanne Chase.
Robert was a Marine veteran having received a citation as a rifle expert. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Gerdau in Fort Smith. A Christian and a member of Refuge Ministries in Van Buren, Arkansas. Robert enjoyed scuba diving, eating at new places and riding with the Fort Smith HOG group which, he was a member of. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Shannon Charlton (Chris), Summer Plymale (Dustin) all of Van Buren; seven grandchildren, Robert, Makayla and Cassandra Sexton, Devan Charlton, Brianna Thompson, Mayle Soukhawan and Ashlynn Plymale; two great grandchildren, Jerrick Bell and Alaina Charlton; five siblings, Niki, Rodger, Debbie, Mike and Robbie; his fiancé, Leah Davenport.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August, 30th at 10 a.m. in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with full military honors and burial to follow at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. Services are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
