Robert ‘Bob’ Jester, 77, of Fort Smith, passed from this life August 11, 2016 in Fort Smith. Bob was born March 17, 1939, in Fort Smith, to the late Howard and Geneva Jester. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969. He had worked as a police officer for the Great Bend, Kansas Police Department and more recently for Gerber Products and Cloyes Gears.
Bob is survived two daughters, Robyn Trusty and Jennifer Rozean, both of Clay Center, Kansas; two sons, James Jester of Clay Center, Kansas and Shad Jester of Fort Smith; two step-sons, James and Rocky Coliron, both of Fort Smith; three grandchildren and one niece.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
