Ruth Moser

Ruth Eileen Moser, 81, of Fort Smith, died August 21, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was born October 7, 1935 in Columbus Grove, OH to William Pearl and Anna Belle Shinaberry Hitchock. She was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School and served as a Legal Secretary while in Ohio for ten years. After moving to Fort Smith in 1971, she was a Legal Secretary for Shaw and Ledbetter. Ruth served as the secretary for the first Community Concert Series in Fort Smith and was an active member of Goddard United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Moser of the home; one daughter, Chris and her husband Jim Purser of Brandon, Mississippi; three sons, D. Mike and wife Cathy Moser of Fort Smith, Richard C. Moser of Houston, TX, and Robert B. and wife Selene Moser of Alcoa, TN; two sisters, Alice Cecsarini of South Port, CT and Jean Thomas of Wilmington, N.C; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Goddard United Methodist Church. Inurnment of cremains will be at a later date in the Goddard United Methodist Church Columbarium. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM.
