Susie Flake

Nancy Sue Wiggins-Flake, age 84, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on February 8, 1939. She graduated from Fort Smith High School in 1957, where she was the Class President and the Vice-President of the Columbians. She graduated from the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, in 1961 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business .She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Alex Flake. She is survived by son Andrew Flake, son Patrick Flake, and his wife Chrystel. She is survived by her grandchildren, of whom she was most proud, Emily, Alex, Olivia, and Lillian. She is also survived by her sisters, Kay Wiggins of Kansas City and Sarah Hagge of Cabot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Uan and Corene Wiggins.

Pallbearer’s will be Julio Vargas, Todd Bickhead, David Beckham, Alpha Payne Wiggins, Wayne Williams, and Jim Harwood.

A Rosary will be held for Susie Flake at 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home with visitation to follow. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 at Immaculate Conception with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.
