Thomas Edmond "Ed" Robertson

Thomas Edmond “Ed” Robertson entered into rest on December 9, 2013. He was born November 24, 1922 in Springfield, AR to Reverend Bailey and Minnie (Martin) Robertson. Ed was a State Farm Insurance Agent for more than forty years and was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church where he was a member and four-time President of the Gleaners Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Betty, whom he was married to for more than fifty years. Ed was also preceded in death by his siblings, Odes and Cecil Robertson, Clema Tackett, Claude and Garner Lynn, Wanda Martin, and Reverend Bob Robertson. He is survived by two sons, Tom Robertson and his wife Nancy, and Ron Robertson and his wife Patty; four grandchildren, Bart Robertson and his wife Bethany, Stacey Marshall and her husband Ross, Amy Jackson and her husband Andy, and Jenny Ross and her husband Doug. Ed is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, Jackson and Brooks Marshall, Bryant, Grace, and Evan Jackson, Noah, Emma, and Will Ross, and Magey and Jake Shambre. Memorial Service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 16, 2013, in Roebuck Chapel at First United Methodist Church, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Private burial prior to the service will be in Forest Park Cemetery. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service in the church narthex.
