Born on August 18, 1931, in Roseville, Venoma lived a life marked by faith, kindness, laughter, and devotion to those she loved most.
Venoma was born to Albert Bornmann and Reba Mikles. Venoma was a cheerleader and valedictorian of her senior class at Paris High School: This is also where she met and married the love of her life, Lyndell Foster. They were happily married for 62 years until his passing nearly 14 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lyndell Eugene Foster; her parents; and her brothers, Albert Bornmann, Glynn Bingaman, and Bob Bingaman.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Gil and Tracy Foster, and Lynda and Matthew Mellor. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Rachel Smedley; Anna and Hunter Smith; Sydney and Daniel Schwartz; Taryn Foster; Emily and Zac Gaines; Marcus and Gwen Mellor; Joshua Mellor; and Jonathan Mellor. She was also blessed with one precious great-granddaughter, Roxanne Gaines.
A devoted homemaker, Venoma created a home filled with warmth, faith, good food, and lasting memories. She loved spending time with her family, cooking meals for those she loved, playing cards and dominoes and camping together through the years, especially Devil’s Den. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humor, her deep kindness, her strong Christian faith, and her unmistakable sense of style. Family and friends will always remember her as a loyal Razorback fan, a faithful servant of God, and a woman who made everyone feel welcomed and loved.
During the years when her children were young, Venoma was active in the Children’s Service League and volunteered throughout the community giving generously of her time and love.
A chapel service will be held at Edwards Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to West Ark Church of Christ and/or Friends of Devil’s Den State Park, a volunteer organization supporting Devils Den State Park.
Venoma’s family finds comfort in knowing her faith guided her throughout her life and that her love, strength, and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
