Vernon Lee Smith, 79, of Fort Smith, died April 4, 2012 in Fort Smith. Vernon was born December 18, 1932 in Fort Smith to Gus and Mary Ruth Smith. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by two sons, David and Allen Smith both of Van Buren; one daughter, Tessie Bowling of Crawford County, AR; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Monday, April 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the U.S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
