

Virginia Wray Floyd, 87, of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015, in Fort Smith. She was born September 1, 1928 in Fort Smith to the late Ronald and Katherine Smith. She was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone (AT&T). She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a Senior High Sunday School Teacher, member of the choir, United Methodist Women and the Clif Hanger Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and AARP. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Smith, Jr. and Harold Smith.
Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with a private family burial at Mayberry Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Mazyck of Fort Smith; three sons, Ronald Floyd of Greenwood, Douglas Floyd of Briarcliff, TX and Scott Floyd of Beaumont, TX; two sisters, Nancy Weaver of Muldrow, OK and Becky Crawford of Fort Smith; two brothers, Herbert Smith of Van Buren and Tommy Smith of Springdale; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
