Wenda Sue Thomas, 77, of Fort Smith, died December 29, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born August 12, 1938 in Alma, Arkansas to Wendell and Erma Katherine Orrick Johnson. She was retired from the Fort Smith Public System as a teacher for Chaffin Jr. High after 20 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Liberty Chapter of Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son, Benjamin R. and wife Kristina Thomas of Greenwood, AR; one brother, Randall Johnson of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren, Ava Thomas, Allison Thomas, Lauren Weaver, Logan Thomas, and Dalton Thomas. She was preceded in death by one son, Wendell Page Thomas.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5:30 – 7:00 PM.
