Werdna Johnson McWilliams

Werdna Johnson McWilliams, 88, of Fort Smith, died June 9, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born October 22, 1926 in Fort Smith to Andrew Manley and Goodwyn Elizabeth Page Johnson. She was a Class of 1944 graduate St. Scholastica Academy and the Valedictorian, retired personal secretary for the Reverend J. Harold Smith during his pastorate at Windsor Park Baptist Church as well as his years on the Radio Bible Hour. She was also a former employee of the Concord Baptist Association and was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah and husband Don Bell of Barling; two sons, Warren McWilliams of Shawnee, OK and Morris and wife Cyndi McWilliams of Scottsdale, AZ; and five grandchildren, Justin and James Greb, Amy and Allison McWilliams and Karen Bowles. She was preceded in death by her husband George L. McWilliams.

Funeral service will be Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the U. S. National Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Justin and James Greb.
