Ambrose Earl Kessinger, 93, of LaOtto, passed away on January 2, 2020. Born on March 17, 1926, in Grayson County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Samuel M and Josephine (Logsdon) Kessinger; and retired in 1991, from Dana Corp, after 30 years of service as a Gear Cutter. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, the outdoors, and all of his family.
He is survived by his children, Paula (Joe) Schlegel, of Antwerp, Ohio, Kathy (Greg) Smith, of Columbia City, JoAnna (Karl) Smith, of Churubusco, Harry Kessinger, and John Kessinger, both of LaOtto, and Tina (Rick) Berkes, of Albion; grandchildren, Desiree, Kristina, April, Andrew, Ashley, Kenny, and Justin; great-grandchildren, Cynthia, Alexis, Raven, Cordigan, Kalleigh, and Quinn; sister, Ollie Voght; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his ex-wife, Margaret; siblings, Dolores McClure, Hubert Kessinger, Ruby Logsdon, Lettie Logsdon, Charlie Kessinger, Robert Kessinger, and Edna Denham.
Funeral service will be 10:00am, Wednesday, January 8, at D. O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, Tuesday, January 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
