Basilio Estrella Jr.

Basilio Estrella Jr., age 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, April 21, 2023. He was born May 26, 1941 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Basilio Estrella and Maria Emilia Torres. Basilio wed Linda Marie Genitempo on October 6, 2001. He was a meek, humble, and generous man of compassion that loved his family dearly. Basilio and Marie volunteered with Toys for Tots and the Seaside Heights Fire Auxillary on the Boardwalk along the Jersey Shore, which they loved and spent much time. In his later years, he could often be found feeding the squirrels, birds, and stray dogs. Basilio is survived by his children, Michelle Marie Genitempo Eccles, Louis Joseph Genitempo Jr., Anthony Robert (Christie Lynn) Genitempo Sr., Brian James (MaryBeth Ellen) Genitempo, Tara Estrella, Michael Estrella and Basilio Estrella III; grandchildren, Anthony Robert (Cassandra) Genitempo Jr., Alexis Jade Genitempo, Dominick Justin (Bailey) Genitempo, Justin Robert (Mckinley) Genitempo, Ariel Madison Genitempo, Kyle William Genitempo, Collin Lee Genitempo, Liam Lazarus Genitempo, Brody Maxwell Genitempo, Gianna Nicole Genitempo, Skylar Grace Genitempo, Evan Edmond Eccles, and Jacob A. Robinson; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Allen Genitempo, Henry Robert Genitempo, and Amelia Genitempo; siblings, Anna Maria Estrella, Nilda L. Estrella Torres, William Estrella, and Vincent Torres. Basilio was predeceased by his wife, Linda Marie Genitempo Estrella; and brother, Frank Estrella. Services will be held at a future date.
