Benjamin Alexander Landin, 33, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022. He was born July 11, 1988 in Jasper, Indiana. Ben attended Homestead High School, The Career Academy High School at Anthis, and Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast in Fort Wayne. He was employed by Silicon Mountain Technologies as a systems administrator. He was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. Ben had a passion for anything related to computers. He enjoyed gaming, technology, and programing. He also enjoyed with his friends tabletop games such as Dungeons & Dragons, board games, and card games. He was a principal maintainer of the Fort Wayne Linux Users Group website. Ben is survived by his parents, Ronald and Linda Landin; brother, Zachary Landin; grandmother, Martha F. Larson; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 18. 2022, at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 W. Washington Blvd, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46802, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819. Burial to follow the service at Lindenwood Cemetery. Masks are recommended. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ben's memory may be made to Electronic Frontier Foundation, The Trevor Project, or FreeBSD Foundation.
