

Betty L. Craver, 90, of Fort Wayne, died on November 4, at St. Anne’s Home, Fort Wayne. The South Fork, PA, native was the daughter of the late George E. and Sarah E. (nee. Guy) Pahel. She was the past district and local president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a state representative for the VA hospital, and most important to Betty, a volunteer at the VA hospital. She was also a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.
She is survived by her children; Janice (Darryl) Smith, of Huntington, Emory L. (Susan) Craver, and Jeanine Usher, both of Fort Wayne, along with eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory W. Craver, son; Martin Gene Craver, and siblings; Henry, George, Edward, Donald, Charles, and Paul Pahel, Luella Pahel, Grace Fuller, and Mildred Pentrack.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday November 8, at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Calling will also be held from 5 to 7 PM, Wednesday, November 7, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to the VA Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
