Betty Irene McCombs, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday November 1, 2013 at Canterbury Nursing and Rehab. She was born on August 2. 1923 in Fort Wayne to Arthur and Goldie (Tracey) Craig. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne. She is survived by daughters Phyllis Thomas of Fort Wayne, Pat Carlisle of Huntertown, Joyce Smith of Phoenix Arizona, Lois (Bob) Langdon of Allen Michigan, Sheila (Jimmy) Padilla of North Webster; sons Rick (Joyce) Piatt of Churubusco, Ted (Cindy) Smeltzer of Harlan, Dan (Susan) Smelter of Fort Wayne; 24 grandchildren and; 34 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Sharon Fink, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. A memorial service will be held at Westwood Fellowship Hall at 4100 Becker Rd. in Woodburn at 7pm with calling 1 hour prior.
