Beverly Joan Ellis, 87 passed away Sunday December 12, 2021 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born March 18, 1934 in Kokomo, IN., the daughter of the late Chester B. and Elva M. Lucas. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1952. She was the owner and operator of Ellis Properties Management Group for 20 years, also owner of the Knotty Pine Motel and Dairy Freeze 51 Flavors. She was an avid reader, enjoyed jigsaw and word puzzles. Her true passion was spending time with her family and hosting family parties. Beverly was a longtime and dedicated member and Greeter at St. Joseph United Methodist Church.
Beverly is survived by her children, Linda (Chuck) Kawka, Lisa M. (Timothy) Ward, Donald D. (Cynthia) Ellis Jr. all of Fort Wayne, IN; sister Sondra (Chuck) Fryback, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald D. Ellis, daughter Deborah L. Farmer, brothers, Herbert Lucas, Michael Crider, Robert Lucas, and Darrell Lucas.
Funeral Service will be 10 am Monday December 20, 2021 at St. Joseph United Methodist Church 6004 Reed Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also Sunday December 19, 2021 from 1-6 pm at D.O.McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
