Brenda Lee Coak

She was a homemaker most of her life. Brenda was known for always being the person that anyone and everyone could turn to. She was an animal lover and especially loved the many cats she had throughout her life. She would do anything for anyone especially for her family. Brenda was known for watching Nascar and criminal investigations shows. One fond memory that her family enjoyed of Brenda’s was during the holidays she would make her famous buckeyes.

Brenda married Bud Coak in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1984. The two of them had a special kind of love and always supported one another. Brenda especially loved her son, Gavin and had a close bond with him.

She is survived by her son, Gavin Coak; her brothers, Delbert “Billy” (Angie) Brock, Clyde (Lily) Brock and Jimmy Brock; sister, Keisha Harth; nieces, Kaelin (Nicholas) Branchina, Jasmine (Moises) Trevino, Brittany Brock, Desiree Harth; nephews, Brian (Arianna) Brock, Braeden Brock, Justin Brock and Joshua Harth; several cousins.

Brenda was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, Bud Coak.

A visitation will be at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home- Pine Valley, 1320 E Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM.

Preferred memorial contributions may be made out to the Coak family.
