Carl J. Kirchner, 64, of Columbia City, formaly from Ft Wayne, died Sunday, April 4, at Hospice Home. He was born August 1, 1945 in Ft Wayne. He retired in 2007 after 44yrs with Kelley Automotive Group as a mechanic and was a US Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Luba, of Columbia City; daughter, Angela Kirchner, of Ft Wayne; son, Wesley Kirchner, of Ft Wayne; step-daughters, Dawn Burban and Tammy Bulmahn, both of Ft Wayne; 3 granchildren; brother, Richard (Cheryl) Kirchner, of Ft Wayne; and sister, Linda Johnson, of Boaz, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan L. (Caudill) Kirchner, in 1997. Memoral Service is 3:00pm Saturday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Winchester Rd.
