

Carl E. Ripke, 89, of Fort Wayne, joined his Lord in heaven on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Born October 18, 1921 in Ridgeville Corners, OH, the son of the late Theodore and Meta (Sundermann) Ripke. He was a self-employed contractor/carpenter and was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He married Alice V. de la Motte on November 17, 1946. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; sister and brother Clara (Werling) and Edwin Ripke; and a son, David. He is survived by son Gerald (Kris) of Lafayette; daughter Barbara (Richard) Pike of Seward, NE; son, Mark (Judy) of Seward, NE; son, Philip (Susan) of Newburgh, IN; brother, Arnold (Luciel) Ripke, of Archbold, OH and sister, Olga (Art) Senn, of Port Washington, WI and 14 grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 pm on Friday, June 17th at Klaehn Fahl and Melton, Wayne St Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Service is at 10:00 am Saturday, June 18th, at Lutheran Life Villages Chapel, 6701 S. Anthony Blvd, with calling one hour prior. Rev. Thomas Eggold officiating.
