He graduated from South Side High School, and worked as a fabrication foreman at I & M Electric. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and racecar driving, which he did for over 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Romine; children, Robert (Jill) Romine and Randy (Donna) Romine; grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Aldridge, Nathaniel Romine, Julian Romine, Clara Romine, Nic (Katie) Underwood, and Kyra Harmon; great-grandchil dren, Silas Aldridge and Vincent Underwood; sister, Judy (Glen) Paxton; and nieces and nephews, Rosie Lazoff, Nick Lazoff, Michelle (Matt) McBride, Sherri Paxton-Romine, and Debra Hvisdak.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46819), with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or Heartland Hospice.
