Charles Edwin Yeaser Sr.

Charles Edwin Yeaser Sr. 78, of Hicksville, OH, passed away Tuesday June 27, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Edwin G. and Anna F. Yeaser. Charles graduated from Chagrin Falls High School in Chagrin Falls, Ohio in 1963.

Charles was passionate about anything with wheels. His knowledge and love of hotrods, motorcycles, classic semi-trucks, and heavy equipment was shared with all who knew him. Following countless career advancements and certifications, he founded his company, Appraisal Systems Group in 1987. Charles successfully and diligently grew his company, with the primary focus being on the passenger railway industry. He also served as a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

There was nothing more valuable to Charles than his family. He was an amazing father to his children, and a grandfather like no other to his grandchildren. Charles’s favorite saying was “family is what matters – always,” and this is exactly how he chose to live his life.

He is survived by his sons Charles (Tammy) Yeaser Jr. of Fort Wayne, IN; Christian (Elizabeth) Yeaser of Hicksville, OH; Christopher (Sheila) Yeaser of Fort Wayne IN; grandchildren, Ian, Madison, Samantha, Noah, Cole, Beau, Josey, Nash; great grandchildren, Sierra, Quintin, Roxanne, Keira and Chase. Also, the mother of his children, Carolyn Yeaser Reszel of St. Joe, IN.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bill Yeaser, and infant daughters, Catherine Ann Yeaser and Carolyn Rose Yeaser.

The funeral service will be 10:00 am Thursday July 6, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park 1320 E. Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4-8 pm Wednesday July 5, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
