

Chester L. "Chet" Reinking, 87, of Ft Wayne, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital. He was born November 19, 1923 in Ft Wayne. He was an Army Air Corps veteran and was a B25 pilot. He retired in 1981 after 40 years and 8 months as a manager of shop operations with General Electric. He was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Stephen's Ministry. "He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather." He was an accomplished artist with stained glass and enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Betty C. (Dornsteif) Reinking, of Ft Wayne; sons, Dr. David (Sharon) Reinking, of Athens, GA and Carl (Marilyn) Reinking, of Ft Wayne; daughters, Laura (Dr. J. Phillip) Jackson and Christine (Bart) Ruch, both of Ft Wayne; brother, Glen (Phyllis) Reinking, of Ft Wayne; step-brother, Gary Duesel, of IL; grandchildren, Aaron (Shashana) Reinking, Mark (Janet) Reinking, Ann Reinking, Sarah (Gary) Watkins, Katie (Brian) Reinking, Rachel (Allen) Loechner, Claire (Tyler) Burgardt, Hannah (Philip) Arthur, Allison (Josh) Lewis, and Jake Ruch; step-grandchildren, Heather Ludwig and Amber Ludwig; and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Service is 11:00am Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
