Connie Kay Brown, 78, passed away on July 9, 2025. Born on March 15, 1947, in New Castle, Indiana, to parents Elmer and Nettie (Guffey) Brown, Connie was a beloved mother and aunt. She was a 1965 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. For many years, she worked for GTE (Verizon) and developed many close bonds with those she met through her time there. She would retire in 2001.
In her free time, Connie enjoyed gardening and shopping. She tended her gardens with such care and loved to nurture and bloom so many different vibrant flowers. When she was out shopping, she could spend hours just browsing the aisles without ever buying anything, but instead just finding solace in wandering. It was these simple moments in life that brought Connie joy.
Surviving Connie are her daughter, Lindsay Brown, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Margaret Baker, Vida Hilbert, Dorothy Holt, and Claude Brown; and nieces, Claudia Falck and Vikki Larrimore. Memorial contributions may be made out to Humane Fort Wayne. Connie will forever be missed by those who cherished her. Her memory will continue to live on in their hearts.
