I just heard the news - to be honest having trouble processing it. We fell in and out of touch especially when I stopped playing xbox as much but when we would catch up it would be like no time had passed. You always treated me like family and I am just blessed to have gotten to know you. You were always unapologetically you and your light will truly be missed from this world. The last time we played online was an all night peggle session (so out of our norm bo1 games) but it was one of the funnest nights and now I will treasure that memory even more. Rest In Peace Dakota. Lord have mercy, I'm not sure what happened or why, only that this young man was a light in his mother's world. We don't always know why things happen but rest assured God is walking with you through it. Rest in peace little light of your mommy's heart. God comfort all those you've left behind.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember a young, blonde Dakota at the bus stop when the kids were little. I remember playing tennis with him and Kristi, and I remember how he loved and was protective of her. I pray for comfort and peace in the days to come. I really don't know where to start with this, but my best memories in life from 2011/12 - 2016 i believe it was all include you, just the days of being online all day everyday having great times

You were one of the very few people who would hit me up when i was in bad places, you were always there for me as well as others i'm sure, you were such a caring guy towards your brothers

i could really just go on forever about how great you were and how great the memories were, i feel like there's an endless amount of them

Dakota, oh man it still seems surreal even now that some days have passed. Who would've ever thought things would turn out this way? I always knew one day I'd be looking back at all the jokes we cracked at one another and all the other memories, but I didn't think it would be like this. We always challenged each other as players but still we shared our own sarcastic humor. Unfortunately we never got to meet in person, but I know that it would be all love, just like it is always was online. Rest in Peace hero, watch over me and keep me level headed. Hey Dakota, its still weird knowing i wont ever be able to talk to you again. I'll never forget the all nighters when we would fight for 1st place in sticks and stones or just sit in theater and reminisce the good old days. I’m still at a loss for words and not really sure how to type my feelings but I’m going to try my best. Dakota, you’ve been one of my closest friends since like 2016 and that’s truly not an exaggeration, we may have only been Xbox friends, but you taught me how to appreciate life and much more. Dakota where I do even start bro... We met on Xbox when I was 13 and we became close ever since. We use to sit there and laugh our asses off for countless amounts of hours on blackops 1. There was no one else I’d rather stay up playing till 6am with. I’m so glad that something so simple as an Xbox got me such a great person in my life. The memories we have will never fade.
