

David L. Brandyberry, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Friday, December 2, 2011. He was born on January 10, 1929 in Ft. Wayne to the late Ervin and Catherine (Buck) Brandyberry. He worked for Dana Corporation for 34 years and Indiana Auto Auctions for 13 years. He was a member at Am. Legion Post 241 after serving in the Navy during World War II. He was an avid square dancer and enjoyed camping and fishing. Surviving family include his wife of 62 years, Maxine (Pape) Brandyberry; children, Camilla Brandyberry, David “Bruce” Brandyberry, Amy Lou (Jon) Oliver, James “Dean” Brandyberry; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Dale) Wilburn; brother, Tom (Marilyn) Somers; and sister-in-law, Patricia Brandyberry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by two brothers, Robert Brandyberry and Howard Somers.
A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road., Ft. Wayne with visitation one hour prior with Chaplain Mike Smith officiating. Visitation will also be from 2-8 pm on Monday, December 5, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne.
