Dixie was born to Richard & Nora (Netraurer) Hare on February 17, 1940, in Nappanee, Indiana. In 1976 she moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana where she resided and called it “home” throughout her life.
Dixie is survived by her 2 children, son Mark Mattern, and daughter Kimber Mattern; along with 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 brother, James Speicher, & 2 sisters, Debra (John) Smith, and Diane (Roger) Kollat.
Dixie had a great joy for playing cards, entertaining, and social hour with her family and friends.
At this time there are no funeral services scheduled.
A family gathering is scheduled in celebration of her life on Sunday September 8, 2024, in Warsaw, Indiana.
