Donald "Don" Wilber Spohr, age 97, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Lutheran Life Villages at Pine Valley in Fort Wayne. He was born, August 22, 1926 in Maples, IN to the late Stanley and Gladys (Bell) Spohr. Don proudly served our nation in the United States Army during World War II as a Technician with the 630 Engineer Light Equipment Company. Following his service, Don spent the majority of his career with International Harvester of Fort Wayne, prior to his retirement.
He was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, a Scout Leader and an avid golfer.
Don is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Phil) Cartwright, of Noblesville, IN; and sister, Rosemary Fisher of Avilla, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane; son, Steve Spohr; one sister and two brothers.
Funeral Service is 11:30 am Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6606 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Burial at Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
