Doris K Schoelkopf

Doris Anna Kline Schoelkopf, 89, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 1, 2016. She was born to the late Albert Raymond Kline and Annie Johanna Kline in Charleston, S.C. on September 10, 1926. Through out her life with moves and travels her heart always remained with her beloved Charleston and the LowCountry. As a homemaker she was a very loving mother and wife. Music always was a large presence in of her life. As a classically trained vocalist she lifted up a joyful noise enriching her soul and the lives of others. She will always be remembered for her joy, sense of humor, strength and loyalty to her family for which they are deeply grateful.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Dr. Rod L. Schoelkopf Sr; daughter, Katherine (Barb Derr) Schoelkopf; son, Andrew Schoelkopf and many extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney L. Schoelkopf Jr (1985.) Private graveside service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Lindenwood Cemetery.
