Dorothy B. Moore

Dorothy B. Moore, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. She was born the late David McKnight and Mattie Bonds in Richmond, VA on March 25, 1929. Dorothy grew up in Connersville, PA and graduated from Connersville High School and went to beauty school. Dorothy met Victor Moore in Chicago and they got married in Fort Wayne on March 25, 1955. She worked GE and Stay School for 30 years before retiring in 1995. Dorothy loved to travel, spend time with friends and family, and to do hair. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Victoria Moore; Victoria's God-parents, Lavon and Gloria Kelly; Victoria's God-sister, Kenya Ishman; Victoria's God-brother, Patrick Kelly; her grandchildren, Dominick McAfee and Kaori Williams; and special niece, Frederica Lumpkin. Ten days after Dorothy passed away, she was joined together again with her husband, Victor, who passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Bonds. A memorial service will be held at a later date for both Dorothy and Victor.
