She was born on February 16, 1961, in Lima, Ohio to the late Joseph and Ellen Mittelkamp.
Elaine enjoyed sewing, crocheting, creating custom gifts, and spending time with her grandchildren. Above all, what she loved most in life were her husband, children, grandchildren and animals.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Paul Slipetz; children, Jessica Hockemeyer (Adam), Nicole Keeler (David), Britney Win (Ken) and Nathan Niese (Michelle); and grandchildren, Elise, Ava and Xander Hockemeyer and Annabelle Keeler.
Elaine touched countless lives with her unwavering love and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be 5:00 pm Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, with visitation from 2-5 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
