ELIZABETH J. "BETTY" NORTON, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at Parkview Hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1924 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Louis and Ida Mary (Kalt) Murray. She was a Homemaker and was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her four sons, Willis Paul Norton of Evanston, Ill., Dennis Gene (Sharon) Norton of Fort Wayne, Brian Scott (Teresa) Norton of Gisbon, Australia and Larry Allan (Nancy) Norton of Fort Wayne; daughter, LeeAnn (Bruce) Cole of Spencerville; sister, RoseMary Peterink of Fort Wayne; two sister-in-laws, June Snyder of Fort Wayne, and Phyllis Peters of Spencerville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Norton; son, Louis; and grandson, Ian. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Father Joseph Gaughan officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne. Burial at Catholic Cemetery.
