Eunice Marie Hassell was born on August 22, 1941 to Allen and Izetta Reynolds in Russiaville, Indiana and passed away with her family by her side on June 11, 2024 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She graduated from George Washington High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1959, where in addition to her studies, she enjoyed cheerleading.
She proudly earned her bachelor’s degree from Earlham College in 1963, and began her career by teaching elementary school. She later managed the Fort Wayne branch of the IU Credit Union, worked for several Title companies in Fort Wayne, and then enjoyed working for Cracker Barrel.
As one of three daughters raised by her Quaker Minister parents, Eunice had a love of both music and God instilled in her at an early age. She grew and nurtured her faith throughout her life, sharing it with many others, in both good times and bad.
Perhaps the best phrase to describe Eunice is "she was well-loved and she loved well.” She was known for her kindness and compassion and was exceedingly proud of her boys and grandsons. She was a loving aunt to her nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Surviving are her sister, Margaret; sons, Todd (Jammie) and Doug (Kelly); and grandsons, Evan and Jack. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ruth; and her ex-husband, Kipp.
Her life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with calling beginning at 11:00 am.
