Faye Elizabeth Frederick

Faye E. Frederick. 88, passed away January 15, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 15, 1937, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of the late Raymond Stanley and Essie Juanita York.

Faye graduated from New Haven High School, New Haven, IN.

She was the office manager at Interstate Cold Storage of New Haven for over 25 years.

Faye lived independently in her home for many years, something she took great pride in. She valued her home and the life she built there, and it was a place filled with comfort, familiarity, and love.

Faye found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved plants and flowers and could often be found pulling weeds, tending to her surroundings, or creating wreaths and silk floral arrangements. She was an accomplished crocheter and lovingly made afghans that she donated to various hospitals, sharing warmth and comfort with people she never met but deeply cared about.

Above all else, she adored her cat, Jackson, who was her constant companion and brought her immeasurable happiness. She also had a fond love for Coney Island, which was always her favorite meal.

Faye was deeply loved by her neighbors, who frequently stopped by just to visit, talk, and enjoy her company. This was a true reflection of the kindness and warmth she shared so naturally with others.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly B. (Matthew) Schlueter of Fort Wayne, IN; Jean Bultemeier of Maricopa, AZ; brother, Gerry (Donna) York of New Haven, IN; grandson, Hunter (Isabella McClung) Barlie, granddaughters, Mia and Megan Schlueter.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Wallace Frederick, January 23, 2001, and a son in law, Kenneth Bultemeier.

Visitation will take place at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, located at 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825, on January 28, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

The funeral service will follow at the same venue, beginning at 1:30 pm on January 28, 2026.

Committal and burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
