

Fen-Lei Chang, MD, PhD, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, he was the son of the late Wilson Chang and Ming-Jen Sun.
Dr. Chang was a distinguished physician and educator. He served as the Associate Dean and Director of the Indiana University School of Medicine – Fort Wayne, and held the position of Professor of Neurology at Parkview Hospital. He was also honored as the Lutheran Foundation Professor of Cardiovascular Research.
A passionate clinician, mentor, and leader, Dr. Chang made a lasting impact on his community. His dedication to patient care was matched only by his commitment to mentoring future healthcare professionals and advancing medical knowledge through research.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Chang enjoyed spending time with family, watching films, exploring national parks, and sharing good meals with those he loved.
He is survived by his devoted wife, cherished son, and loving sister.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. A private family graveside service will follow at a later time.
