Florence Edwina Hoke

Florence Edwina Hoke, 87, died January 3, 2021 at her home. She was the last surviving daughter of Stanley and Laura Swencki of Mckees Rocks, PA. She was the youngest of seven daughters. Florence was a loving wife to Earl A. Hoke for 60 years, who preceeded her in death. She was a hard worker who transitioned from city living to country life. Florence was totally devoted to her family and beloved by them. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Florence and Earl raised four children, Susan (Hal) Springer of Berrien Springs, MI, Judy (Dale) Teeple of Bancroft, MI, Delores Hoke and Howard Hoke, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Sarah (Casey) Damron, Nathan (Jessica) Springer, Phillip (Sarah) Teeple, Kevin (Erin) Teeple, and Katie (Ryan) Gillette; great grandchildren, Carter and Blaire Damron, Emmalyn and Elyse Teeple, Bentley, Harper, and Olivia Teeple, and Brynnlee and Elias Gillette. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Virgil Hoke of Fort Wayne. A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809, with the service Live Streaming on the funeral home Facebook page starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Baldrick’s Foundation (funds childhood cancer research).
