Florence Helen Witzenman, age 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on October 1, 2023, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on October 12, 1927, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Helen L. (Erhardt) Niblick.
She retired from Kelly Chevrolet on October 2, 1992, on East State Boulevard after working six years as a Warranty clerk. She previously worked for Hefner Chevrolet for 21 years and Swanson Chevrolet for two years. She also worked at Hull- Dobbs Ford and Bob Berry Ford for two years. Florence was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Fort Wayne.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Ellen) Witzenman of Monroeville, Darlene (David) Mackey of Franklin, TN, James (Diane) Witzenman of Fort Wayne and Deborah Faulkner of Fort Wayne; a brother Walter (Nancy) Niblick, of Fort Wayne; 12 nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frederick Witzenman, Jr. in 1994; a sister, Elizabeth Neff in 1997
A visitation will be at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road Fort Wayne, IN 46804 on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A funeral will begin following visitation at 12:00 PM, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1636 St. Mary’s Avenue, Fort Wayne or The ProMedica Hospice Memorial Fund, 2720 Dupont Commerce Court, Fort Wayne.
