Frances "Fran" Marie (VeGar) Brewer, 70, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. Born on January 1, 1955, in South Bend, Indiana, Fran was the beloved daughter of Allen and Emma VeGar.
Fran was known for her fun-loving spirit, her silliness, and her gift for making people laugh. She never met a stranger and always needed to have the plan. Her greatest joys were her family, her flowers, and being “Grandma” to Silas, Harold, Hayden, and Demetrio.
She is survived by her daughter, Londa (Tohon) Mink; grandson, Silas; her companion of many years, Harold Wegner, Sr.; Harold's daughter, Chris Wegner; sisters, Rose Moore and Allene (George) Cart; nieces, Jessica (Noah) Smith, Ashley (Adam) Greenfield, Elizabeth Fair, Cortney (Justin) Cox; nephews, Jeremy (Rachael) Moore and Corey (Tammy) Moore; brother-in-law, Russ Turner; and close family friends, Suzi and Randy Tracy.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Brewer; parents, Allen and Emma VeGar; brother, John “Tony” VeGar; sister, Tina L. Turner; and Harold's son, Harold “JR” Wegner, Jr. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home 6424 Winchester Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
