Franz-Martin (Marty) Peters

Franz-Martin "Marty" Peters, 68, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital. Marty was born in Ober-bauer, Germany on March 23, 1950. He is the son of Franz-Joseph and Charlotte Peters of Tecklenburg, Germany. He attended Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus in Hanau, Germany, 1968 to 1970. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1971. He dedicated his life to his family and long time Jewelry business. He was an avid ice hockey enthusiast with his family and watching his sons play. He loved being with his family and telling stories of childhood in Germany and visiting there. He was very proud of his children and a very loving grandfather. Surviving and left to honor and remember his love are his wife, Jeanie of 45 years of Westfield, N.Y.; his children, Edda Peters (Wayne) Bryant of New Jersey, Mathew Peters of Fort Wayne, Franz-Christoph (Nancy) Peters of Ohio, and Kobi Peters of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Madelyn and Crosby, and Franz-Emmerich; his sisters, Charlotte Ball of Fort Wayne and Elisabeth Holtkamp of New York, N.Y. Mass of Christian Resurrection is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Ind.
