Pastor Fred Brand Jr., went home to be with Jesus on Monday, February 7, 2022. He was born in Fort Wayne. He became an ordained Pastor, after 35 years as a Boilermaker. He was still actively involved in his church, and volunteered at The Rescue Mission. Surviving are his sister, Donna Kessler; daughters, Brenda Clifford, Amy Klingensmith and Val Waters; stepchildren, Debbie and Mike Shoaff, Dean Kruse, David and Pat Kruse, Dennis and Kay Kruse, Diane and Steve Ferris, Daniel and Candy Kruse, Jane and Bruce Ashe, Steve Adamonis, and Nancy and Tom Merryman; 29 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three wives, Wanita, Luella and Phylis; along with stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Derald and Jackie Kruse. Funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at Tillman Road Church of God, with viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Viewing is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, at C. M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home. With the committal as part of the service. Contributions can be made to either or both Tillman Road Church of God or The Rescue Mission.
