Dad,  you have been the one and only man in my life who has always been there for me, who has never let me down, who has never lied to me, and who I could always count on.  I am who and what I am today because of you. You taught me to always be greatful... whenever I would complain you would say, "it could always be worse."   You had a way of lifting my spirits when I felt down and making me laugh when I wanted to cry.  You helped me out everytime I was in a bind, you helped me with my kids, and you always made sure I was ok.  Of course, you also drove me crazy with our differences.   I am care free and some would say careless,  you are cautious and cafeful.  My life is always changing and crazy where you were a creature of habit.  You were quiet and kept to yourself,  I am outgoing and talked to everyone.  I know I drove you crazy as well with our differences,  and now you are gone and I am feeling a bit lost.  For the first time you are not a phone call away.  I miss you already.  I know you will always be with me and I know you are at peace now and are no longer suffering.  I am so greatful I had 39 years with you in my life.  I will remember all of the good times,  I will cherish every memory,  I will always think of you as the greatest guy I have ever known and I will always feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have a dad like you.  I love you so much daddy.  RIP

Uncle Gene, I will always remember your laughter.  You always had a way of brightening a room everytime you entered.  Thank you for all the great memories.

A lifetime of family holiday fellowship, most of those memories have Gene in them.  Gene was raised in the then small town of Waynedale on L. Huntington Road in a house long since gone. A factory working father named Floyd, a fiery red haired mother named Gertrude and two older sisters, Lavon and Betty.  Gene married and had 3 children. Just four people from this short story now remain.  My thoughts and prayers are now with them.  
For his sister, Lavon... and his children Carla, Gene and Tonya (and each of their families).  May God comfort and keep you in this time of loss. Know that Gene is safe and healthy in heaven with his parents and sister Betty and all of those that have gone before. He waits to see everyone again, for another one of those famous Mutton family reunions and feasts.

Today we are all feeling a little bit sad,
That we've lost our Grandpa, our friend and our dad
Together we have cried an ocean of tears
As we feel so empty and hold many fears

But Grandpa would want us to know he's in a good place
And that he watching us all with a smile on his face
As we have made him so proud, as proud as can be
That he has raised such a beautiful and special family

Thinking back now I really must say
I feel lucky and privileged to have known Grandpa to this day
For in my life, he has played a special part
The memories I will treasure and keep close to my heart

I am glad that him and God finally got to meet
And for all of us, be grateful his life is now complete
To each one of us he has loved and cared
And a family, be thankful for the good times we shared

Although he has gone we will always be together
And his spirit will live on each one of us forever
When you look to the sky, look for the brightest star
As that will be Grandpa looking down on us from afar

And now I would like to thank the good Lord above
For blessing us with our Grandpa with his kindness and love
Dear God, if it is not too much fuss
Take extra special care of our Grandpa as he is very dear to us

Grandpa if you are listening, watch over us every day
Be sure to protect us and guide us on our way
We know when God called you, you had to go
But we want you to know Grandpa we miss you and love you so

I will miss you so much Grandpa.
If my love for you could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
