George Cleveland Strong Jr.

George C. Strong Jr., 96, of Fort Wayne, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Born June 18, 1921 in Carnegie, Okla., he was a son of the late George Sr. and Stella Strong. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a salesman for most of his working years.
He is survived by his children, Michael G. (Lorraine) Strong of Melbourne, Fla., and Carol J. (Tom) Cashen of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Emily (Josh) Kestner of Fort Wayne and Elizabeth (Pat) Grayson of Carmel, Ind.; grandson, Michael A. Cashen of Denver, Colo.; and three great-grandsons, Maxwell, and Miles Grayson, and Lincoln Kestner. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Jeanne (Van Anda) Strong; and sisters, Virginia Sunderland and Wanda Chamberlain.
Memorial Service will be 11am on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Blackhawk Ministries, 7400 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne, with a gathering starting one prior. Pastor Rich Tavierne officiating.
