Glen Harry Billman III

GLEN H. BILLMAN III, 69, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, after a hard fought battle with cancer at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Nov. 27, 1946, in the District of Columbia, a son of the late Glen Billman II and Nina Billman. He grew up in Fort Wayne, attending South Side High School. He is a Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #202, Butler, Ind. He retired from construction work and bartending for many years. Surviving are is wife, Sherri Billman; brothers, Larry Billman and Keith Billman both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Sally Peppler of Fort Wayne and Kim Owens of Evansville; his children, Jodi Billman of Florida, Jamie Billman of Florida and Jennie (Billman) Waldrep of Florida; stepchildren, Kimberly Zimmerman of Columbia City, Tifani (Bret) Aschelman of St. Joe, Jason Zimmerman of Columbia City, and Arlien Green of South Whitley; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepson, Zackary Zimmerman. Graveside military service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Scipio Cemetery, State Road 37, Harlan, Ind.
