Gloria Lou Sparks

Gloria Lou (Bohde) Sparks, 88, passed away Saturday April 13, 2024. She has resided at Heritage Pointe Fort Wayne Memory Care Unit for almost 2 years. Gloria was born April 2, 1936 to Bertha M. (Rohrbach) and Clarence C. Bohde. Gloria married her high school sweetheart, Donald Larry Sparks in 1954 and they happily raised 9 children. Gloria had many hobbies including sewing, painting, knitting, crocheting, wood carving, scrapbooking and much more. Her seamstress skills included wedding and bridesmaid dresses. Her love of cooking took her to several jobs in restaurants including supervising and training employees. She also was elected to the Village Clerk, Metamora, MI. Gloria is survived by her five daughters, Pamela J. Frosch, Fort Wayne, IN, Gina (Robert) Burns, Grantsville, WV, Kelly (Allison) McMann, Marysville MI, Amy (Tony) Campbell, Dryden, MI, Sara (Steve) Ashwood, Las Vegas, NV. Four sons, Corey (Linda) Sparks, East Lansing, MI, Joel Sparks, Fort Wayne, IN, Tracy Sparks, Attica, MI, Jason (Tonia) Sparks, Fort Wayne, IN. One Brother, Donald Bohde, Kendallville, IN. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter, Megan L. Sparks. Service is 2pm on Friday April 19, 2024 with calling 12noon – 2pm that day at Greenlawn Funeral Home 6750 Covington Rd. Fort Wayne, In 46804. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
