Harley Clifford Jones, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on October 21, 2016. Born on January 21, 1921, in Wells County, he was the son of the late Elva Samuel and Rose Jones. A member of Christ Church at Georgetown, he proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. A 51-year member of the Sheet Metal Union Local #20 and its Retirement Club, he retired in 1983.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Jones and Jim (Peggy) Jones, both of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Ethel Jones; and son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Judy Jones.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, October 27, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Markle Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
