Irene R. Rust, 85, of Fort Wayne passed away September 11, 2010. She was born on September 15, 1924 to the late Charley and Hazel (Dennis) Robison. She retired from Sears after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Nine Mile United Methodist Church, Allen Co. Farm Bureau, and Allen Co. Extension Home Maker Club. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and reading. Surviving family include her children, Gale (Martha) Rust of Roanoke, James (Teresa) Rust of Whitley Co., Nancy (Rick) Bodeker of Avilla, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Rust. Funeral services will be Wednesday September 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals 6810 Old trail Rd., Ft. Wayne with calling one hour prior. Calling hours are also from 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday September 14, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
