Jack Dean Butcher, 88, passed away October 3, 2024, at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born June 7, 1936, in Decatur, IN son of the late Gale L. and Wilma Butcher. He graduated from Rockford High School.
Jack was an Army Veteran and served from 1956-1958. He was the owner of New Haven Print and Copy for forty-one years. His memberships included St. John Lutheran Church and was Past President of The Network Business group. Jack enjoyed playing golf, horseshoes and watching sports on TV.
He is survived by his sons, Randy Butcher and Steven Butcher, both of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Dustin (Jessica) Butcher of Leo, IN, Abigail Saylor and Emily Butcher both of Monroeville, IN; great grandchildren, Sofia Love, Isabella Woods, Augusta Woods, Abraham Carrido, Nolan Butcher and Ella Butcher.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-seven years, Lois M. Butcher in 2014; and sister, Cheryl Clay.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 729 W. Washington Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN. Burial at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
