Jacqueline B Springer, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne. Born on Friday, August 11, 1939, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Russell T and Geraldine (Mitchell) Smith. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and retired in 2005, from Lutheran Hospital, after 20 years of service as an Administrative Assistant, in the Human Resources Department.
She is survived by her husband of more than 62 years, Larry L Springer; daughters, Diana (John) Rang, Kelly Biddle, and Shelly Springer; brother, Thomas M (Mary) Smith; as well as five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:30pm, Friday, January 27, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4 to 8pm, Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne, the Parkview Cancer Institute, or Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.
