JAMES CARPENTER JR., 48, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015. Born Sept. 25, 1966, he was the son of the late James and Patricia Carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Denise Mitchell; sister, Teresa (John) Smith; grandmother, Shirley Hamilton of Anderson, Ind.; two nieces; two nephews; four great nieces; four great nephews; and many aunts and uncles. Funeral service is 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with calling from 4 to 7 p.m.
