James Paul Meredith

James Meredith, 74, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at Canterbury Nursing Home. Born in Fort Wayne, Ind. on July 24, 1944, he was the son of the late Loren and Mary Meredith. He enjoyed going to church, volunteering, bingo and playing cards. Survivors include his wife, Mary Meredith of Fort Wayne, brother, Mahlon (wife, Sharon) Meredith of Fort Wayne, Kerry Meredith of Winchester; aunt, Valentina Drake of Fort Wayne, cousins, Carl Drake of Fort Wayne, Ronald Drake of Fort Wayne, Kathy Raptis of Florida; niece, Dawn Schultz of Fort Wayne; nephew, Steven (wife, Cheryl) Meredith of Ohio; great niece, Ashley Reynolds of Fort Wayne; great-nephew, Dale Coker of Fort Wayne; great great niece, Gracie Wheaton of Fort Wayne, Alyssa Reynolds of Fort Wayne; great great nephew, Scott Reynolds of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by one cousin, Donald Drake. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N Wells St., Fort Wayne (IN, 46808), with visitation from noon to 1p.m. prior to the service. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 West Main St., Fort Wayne.
