James "Jim" L. Miller

James "Jim" L. Miller, age 87, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was born November 12, 1936 in Fort Wayne, to the late Holmes and Marie Miller-Bufink. His love of sports began at Elmhurst High School where he played football, baseball, basketball, softball and actively involved in the I.H.S.S.A. Jim married the love of his life, Sharon Steinbacher on September 25, 1954 and to this union, three children were born. He would retire from Arden Companies where he was a maintenance supervisor after twenty-five years of service. Jim was a member of Tillman Church. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Sharon; children, Donald Miller, Dean (Veronica) Miller, and Carla (Jeffrey) Bennett all of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Paulette) Bufink and Mike (Carol) Bufink of Churubusco, Indiana. Jim was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth (Helen) Miller. Funeral Service is 11:00 am Monday, April 22, 2024 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Tillman Church, 3710 E.
